Haha…bet you all thought I forgot about yesterday,,,Alas, I spent most of the day in the car. Between the bad road from here to the pontoon and the blasting on ‘the hill’ I’m not sure what’s worse. But, I managed to make it up to Lusaka and back in a day so it can’t be all that bad. The biggest news is that I am now expecting the arrival of ‘The Jetty’ early next week. Awesome!! Timber for the decking is on order so we should be able to have our first Full English on the jetty by the middle of March.
On another most exciting note, I think I ordered a boat yesterday?? That’s right I have finally made my decision and will hopefully finalise everything next week. So pretty soon ‘Simply Wild’ should be jetting me up and down to my favourite spots on the river.
Finally, Help!!! Having experienced minor problems with them before, I am now being ‘terrorised’ by gerbils….Yes, gerbils! The beasts’ population in the walls of my chalet have grown and they have now taken to stealing my TP. Every morning when I go into the bathroom, the toilet roll is strewn across the bathroom. I think they hang on it or something to make it unravel?? Better still is the fact that they shred the end and take the bits they pull off and stuff them into a crack in the wall. What is this world coming to when not even toiletries are safe? Hahaha…the little beasties even managed to cart off Jason’s toothbrush earlier in the year. Poof!! Vanished, just like that!! What are they going to try next?

Well your TP and toiletries are safe for the moment. The gerbils are busy in Mukuyu Chalet eating my soap.
