The Wiseman Built His House Upon The Rocks!!!

We're two thirds of the way through the jetty and 'Super-Changwe' is going to take a break for the week. Regular breaks are necessary for the Super-Carpenter cos his furious pace puts immense strain on his super-powers and he becomes 'powerless' after about two weeks if he is not given time to eat spinach and recharge. But it's looking good I think.

Definitely a big difference from what it was like two weeks ago

The weekend also brought with it some interesting times with the rising 'floodwaters' around chalet number four. A broken water pipe meant that I got to spend Saturday morning splashing in the mud around the soak away, replacing valves and fittings. Great fun!!
But the weekend was saved by an awesome trip some 26km down the river yesterday afternoon where although the fishing was really bad, we did bump into some awesome elephants. It looks like Sunday is washing day for the jumbos. Out of four different herds we bumped into along the way, three groups were splashing about in the water having a merry old time. The best being three big bulls who weren't so much bothered by us as they were with having a big game with each other. We got a few good pics but if we'd had a better camera we probably could have got some really special ones. It was pretty awesome though to be so close to them and just watch them playing the fool.
