We’ve come a long way since the days of throwing ‘Snoekies’ at Sodwana Bay with one of those Shakespeare kiddies kits. Or the varsity days of spending endless afternoons come rain or shine on a particular Bass dam, known for its ability to provide a strike on every cast.
These days it’s all about throwing an Effzet or Rapala into the Mighty Zambezi and hauling it back to the boat about as quick as the spool will take it……Well kind of!! But once you’ve caught a big Tiger on a small bass outfit, there is little in the world of freshwater angling that will ever match up.
We are the Wild Chaps and this is what we do…well at least what I do!! As the team member based on the Zambezi, I get to hold the fort and keep track of the Tiger.
If I can get to it everyday, I’ll do my best to keep the going’s on at the lodge and on the river up-to-date. If I don’t it means the fish are on the bite and I can’t tear myself away from the action.
Peace Out, The Commodore;)
